Let the age of tarun be ( x ) years
So, Age of mahesh will be ( 3x ) years



Two years ago, his age was four times of tarun's age

=> ( 3x - 2 ) = 4( x - 2 )

=> 3x - 2 = 4x - 8

=> -2 + 8 = 4x - 3x

=> 6 = x




Hence, age of tarun = x = 6 years
Age of mahesh = 3x = 3(6) = 18 years
