Mahesh purchased mangoes for his factory. 10% of them were damaged. 40% of the remaining were used to make jam and the remaining were used to make pickles. If 162 kg mangoes were used to make pickles, what quantity of mangoes did he buy?

Given :-

10 % of mangoes is used to make were damaged

40% of mangoes were used to make pickle .

Mangoes used to make pickles in number = 162kg

Answer :-

So, we can say that,

40%=162kg

1  \: percent = \frac{162}{40}

100  \: percent = \frac{162}{40}×100

= 405kg

So, total mangoes bought =405 kg
