Step-by-step explanation:

Mahesh walked from Town A to Town B in 6 hours.

Let his average speed be x.

Let distance be y.

By speed formula,

=> Speed = Distance/Time

=> x = y/6

=> 6x = y..............................................(1)

When he increase his speed by 1km/h then,

=> x + 1 = y/5

=> 5x + 5 = y........................................(2)

From 1 and 2 equations,

6x + 0 = y

5x + 5 = y

Multiply 1st equation by 5 and 2nd by 6.

Then,

30x + 0 = 5y

- 30x + 30 = 6y

- 30 = - y

y = 30km. Answer

Put the value of y in 1st equation.

= 6x = 30

= x = 30/6

= x = 5km/hr. Answer

Hence, distance of Town A and Town B is 30 km.

Answer:

hello dear Good morning .

I'd like to give your answer in my opinion.

Step-by-step explanation:

  1. as per your question first mahesh taking time for pass from town A to town B = 6 hours.
  2. and for return from B to A he takes =5 hours due to increase of his speed average
  3. and then we know that his speed is 1 km/h for incresination of his speed..
  4. then the distance from a to b is=

distance =  \frac{time}{speed}

speed is =1km/h

time is=6hour

then the distance from a to b is

distance =  \frac{6h}{ \frac{1km}{h} }  = 6km

Then the distance is 6 km.
