‘Mahim Nature Park’ is known as ‘Maharashtra Nature Park’ which is developed by MMRDA with helping NGO along with an Ornithologist ‘Salim Ali’.
This nature park is situated at Bandra Sion road perfectly opposite of Dharavi slums.
Garbage dumped to forest where mahim nature park has woodlands with 14 thousand trees, 300 plants with herbs, small lake of 100’s of migratory birds, insects, beautiful butterflies, reptiles, mammals and fishes.
Mahim Nature Park is in Dharavi, Mumbai.
It is a green spot in the city full of high-rises surrounded entirely.
It was built with the World Wildlife Fund under the guidance of famous ornithologist the Salim Ali.
With the development of this nature park, various types of birds that were not easily visible in Mumbai for a long time have found their habitat back.
