2. Calendering: The simplest and most common finish used to enhance the appearance of any gray or finished cloth. 3. Sanforisation: In the sanforization process, the fabric is put into a sanforizing machinery where it is treated with steam or water  to encourage shrinkage, then rubbed against a heated rubber band to relax and recontract the fibers. It is then treated steam/water to decrease the shrinkage that would occur after the first washing. This means that the material shrinks just 5% after first washed compared to a possible 10% for non-sanforized  fabrics.
4. Mecerization: This is a smoothing procedure that can add luster by reducing the fuzziness on the surface and making it more dye-receptive for dyeing.
