So, father=3x years

After 12 years,

Mahima=x+12

Father=3x+12

Acc. to question:

3x+12=2(x+12)

3x+12=2x+24

3x-2x=24-12

x=12

So, present age of Mahima=12 years

And of father=12×3=36 years
