Mahalwari system :: William Bentick started Mahalwari system in 1833 . The amount to paid was not financed it was revised periodically.
Village headmen was asked to collect the rent & pay to the company.

Ryotwari :: Thomas Munro started Ryotwari system in 1820 . The Ryotwari System, instituted in some parts of British India was one of the two main system used to collect revenues from the cultivators of agricultural land. These revenues included undifferentiated land taxes and rents, collected simultaneously.
