The main goal of Arya Samaj was: It stood for the four-fold varna system determined by merit and not by birth.
Purpose of arya samaj was to restore the Vedas as uncovered truth. It dismissed every later growth to the Vedas as decline at the same time, as mostly it was peoples own translations, included much post-Vedic idea. Contrary to some misconceptions, it is not a religion or a new sect in Hindu religion.To do good to the whole world is the main objective of the Arya Samaj, that is, to improve the physical, spiritual and social well-being of all mankind. All people should be treated with love, fairness and due regard for their merit.

The Arya Samaj restricts love of murtis creature forfeit, shraddha , constructing rank with respect to birth as opposed to upon justify, untouchability, child marriage, pilgrimages, priestly craft, and temple offerings.
