Indian revolt in the year 1857 is one of the first movements by the Indians for the independence.

This movement is also known as the sipoy mutiny.

There are various places in India, which are considered as the main centers of this movement, and this places are Jhansi, Barrackpore, Lucknow, Delhi and Gwalior.
