Western ghats are situated in Western edge of Deccan plateau
eastern ghats are situated in the Eastern edge of Deccan plateau

Western ghats are near to the coromondal coast
Eastern ghats are far from Indian landmass

highest peak in Western ghats is anai music
highest peak in eastern ghats is jindhgada peak

they are parallel to the Western coast
parallel to the Eastern coast

they are continuous and can be crossed by passes only
