INDIAN DESERT

  • Indian desert lies on the western side of Aravali hills.

  • Indian desert mostly covers the state Rajasthan it also covers some area of Gujurat too.

  • Indian desert is an arid region as well as a semi-arid region. And the temparatures are extreme in summer it reaches till 50°C and at night  it has average temparature of near about 6°C.

  • Indian desert recieves very little rainfall i.e. below 150mm annually.

  • There is low vegetation in Indian desert due this arid climate and dry climate.

  • In Indian desert there is shortage of water and its source.

  • Luni is the only large river in Indian desert that passes through it.
