1. civil disobedience movement is second mass agitation movement after non cooperation movement.
2. Civil disobedience movement was started because mahatma gandhi wrote a letter to Lord Irwin in which 11 demands were written and the most important demand was to abolish salt tax. Mahatma Gandhi waited for several days but no response was given was Lord Irwin. so,Mahatma gandhi decided to abolish salt tax and decided to manufacture salt by evaporating sea water.
3. Mahatma Gandhi along with 78 trusted volunteers walked for 240 miles from Sabarmati ashram to Dandhi ,10 miles a day and in 24 days he reached Dandhi and abolish salt law.
