Pituitary gland secrets growth hormone (GH) and growth inhibiting hormone (GIH).

Giantism

The effect cause due to excessive secretion of GH is known as Giantism

Under such condition the pituitary gland continues secreting GH hormone because of which the peripheral parts of our body grow more larger than usual condition.

Dwarfism

When the GH hormone is less secreted in our body such condition is known as Dwarfism
