when we react nacl (brine ) with ammonia and co2 and h2o . we will get the product as sodium hydrogen carbonate that is baking soda along with it ammonium chloride.

equation- NaCl + NH3 + CO2 + H20 ------- NaHCO3 + NH4Cl

the further reaction of baking soda is

NaHCO3 -------- Na2CO3 + CO2 + H2O
