Major aspects of a novel:

1. Storyline.
2. Timeline wise narration of the story. Chronological narration is better.
3. Introduction of too many characters is perhaps not good.
4. Good vocabulary
5. Description of scenes of act will do good.
6. Thrilling incidents, love, humour and suspense will add to success.
7. Family stories will be a good read for all ages.
8. Use some quotes in the novel, so readers will remember it for long.

Hey mate
========

I follow SPECS as my guiding principle for constructing a novel. It is an effective way of organizing and phasing out your thought & flow of the novel writing.

☆S - Setup☆

▪Visual elements in a story. This should cover place, time, surrounding, look and feel of the environment, specific building, room, etc. This would help the readers to visualize and imagine the story as if they read.

☆P - Plot☆

▪In most of the case, this would be the starting point in a novel. This could be blurb paragraph, 1 page or 10 page shorter version of the entire story.

☆E - Events☆

▪Organizing story is sequencing and parallelizing events that happen in the story and how you want to take reader along with you as they read.

☆C - Characterization☆

▪These all participate in the events that we describe in the novel. Each character would have a specific aspects to carry throughout the novel so that people can relate and identify the characters intention and reason for certain decision.

☆S - Senses☆

▪We will need to make sure that we cover all five senses of the reader. This could be a checklist as well to ensure reader feels the same way you intend to.

Hope it helps !!!! ☺
