✔Water pollution : mixing of undesirable and harmful substances in water so termed as water pollution.

✔CAUSES :

↘Industrial Sources : large industries discharge hot effluent directly in the water bodies without proper treatment. This leads to undesirable temperature change for the aquatic animals as well .

↘Agricultural Sources : the heavy doses of chemical fertilisers and pesticides used in fields are eventually washed over by rain that ultimately find their way to the water bodies.

↘Domestic sources : the household wastes dumped in the water bodies also serves as a major cause of water pollution .
