Major opposition to Mughals was shown by Maharana Pratap.

Maharana Pratap was a Rajput ruler who ruled Mewar in the 16th century. He was the 13th king of Mewar in northwest Rajasthan. He reigned for 25 years.

Akbar tried to solve the problem by diplomacy, he sent four groups of honourable persons one by one to meet Maharana Pratap.

All four groups came back unsuccessful in their mission. They included Akbar’s son and a servant who was favored by Akbar over others.

Maharana Pratap made Chavand his capital.

The Rajput ruler made this city his capital in 1585 after capturing it from the Rathors. This was his last capital.

Nissaruddin lived in the court of Kaykaus II.

Kaykaus II reigned for 11 years as the Sultan of the Seljuqs of Rum. His mother was of Greek origin.
