In the poem 'Migration' the poet Keki Daruwalla describes the hardships of those who are superposed to migrate to alive. He says it always very difficult. he describes 1947, any drought, any plague, and the chronicles and their need for migration.
He describes how people manage themselves in a strange place with all strangers without their relatives, parents. If anybody asks the poet he reminds his mother or not. The poet wants to tell them it's very difficult to stay without her.
