Majority of cells cannot be seen directly with our naked eyes
because:
(a) organisms are generally unicellular
(b) cells are microscopic
(c) cells are present only inside the body

This is because the majority of cells are microscopic.

So in order to study the different characteristics of the cell we have to place the cell under a microscope in order to observe its behavioral changes.

This is not possible for us to distinguish with our a naked eye.
