Materials required: White paper, turmeric paste/ powder.

Procedure: Dip the white paper on the turmeric paste and let it dry in the sun..Now your turmeric paste indicator is ready. Take the indicator and dip it in the soap solution.

Observation- The Turmeric paper indicator will change its color from yellow/ orange to red.

Conclusion/ Results- When you dip the turmeric paper indicator to soap solution it will change it's color beacuse soap solution is basic in nature and turmeric paper indicator changes it's color only in basic solution
