Friend 1: Hey, do (Helping verb) you (pronoun) know (Verb) this (Determiner) problem (noun) of waste management can be solved very easily?

Friend 2: How?

Friend 1: If each household shoulder the responsibility of disposing off its own waste, the problem will be solved.

Friend 2: But how?

Friend 1: Simply by collecting the waste separately in three different bins. One for the biodegradable wet waste; second for dry biodegradable waste; and the third for dry non-biodegradable waste.

Friend 2: Yes. What people usually do is collect all the waste in one dustbin only; it becomes so difficult to deal with this mixture of waste. The wet waste can easily be turned into compost or humus along with the dry bio-degradable dry waste. The non-biodegradable can be sent to recycling plants.

Friend 1: Exactly, the compost can be used as manure for fields, gardens, etc. There won’t be any garbage heaps lying here and there in the cities.

Friend 2: People in our country have very poor attitude to waste management; and that’s why our cities are so dirty.

Friend 1: I think, we should make people aware about this.

Friend 2: Sure I am with you. Let’s start with our colony first.

Sujon  : Hello Sultan. How are you?

Sultan : Thanks. I am fine. How are you?

Sujon  : I am also fine. Where are you going?

Sultan : I am going to the mayor for requesting him to take necessary steps towards waste management.

Sujon  : People are not aware of it. They throw their waste here and there.

Sultan : Mills and factories are polluting the environment through their toxic chemicals.

Sujon  : people throw garbage here and there instead of recycling

Sultan : Super tankers and human wastes are responsible for water pollution.

Sujon  : Farmers use fertilizers and pesticides for more production. But these chemicals get mixed with pond and river water.

Sultan : Every day we use million tons of fuel for cooking and other purposes. These are also responsible for pollution.

Sujon  :  But we cannot live without cooking food.

Sultan : You are right. But, we should be conscious of it. In most cases, we are not aware of the importance of environment.
 
Sujon  : So, what should we do?

Sultan : We should take care of our environment. It’s true that we cannot stop pollution for good. But we can lessen it.

Sujon  : I agree with you. My friend, I have to go now. Ok, see you later.

Sultan : Bye.
