Explanation:

The camel got its hump

In the middle of a desert, there was a camel that lived. He only eats sticks, thorns, and prickles because those were the only things that could be found in a desert. The Camel was so slow that all he ever said in response to anyone speaking to him was "Humph." The Horse, the Dog, and the Ox had a panchayat and talked to the Djinn while they were there. The Djinn committed to investigate the situation and give the Camel a lesson. When the Djinn went searching for the Camel, he discovered him looking at his own reflection in a body of water. The Djinn reminded him that it was unfair because his laziness had caused the other animals to put in extra effort. The Camel repeated his indifference-filled humph. When the camel finally caught a glimpse of its back, it had inflated into a massive hump. He was informed by the Djinn that going three days without working was what caused the humph. The Camel was now able to work for days without eating while carrying the Humph. That is also how the camel obtained its hump. Rudyard Kipling does a good job of illustrating the subject of laziness in the story.
