Cyclone Tauktae
It was one of the most violent and deadly cyclones in the world the strongest tropical cyclone which ever happened in Arabian Sea to make a landfall in Gujarat since 1998. The areas affected were coastal regions of Kerela, Karnataka, Maharashtra and especially Gujarat which was under red alert. The wind speed was nearly 220 km/h. It was even more violent and stronger than the previous Cyclone Nisarga which hit financial capital of India- Mumbai.
Cyclone Yaas
It was even more violent and stronger than the Cyclone Tauktae and second most severe and damaging tropical cyclone in the Bay of Bengal after Cyclone Amphan. It affected areas- Sundarbans which almost got flooded, Capital city of West Bengal- Kolkata, Digha beach and southern parts of Bangladesh- Chittagong, Dhaka, coastal regions of Odisha- Puri, etc. The wind speed was approximately 130- 140 km/h sometimes gusting to 155 km/h.
