The Electoral Democracy in our country is slowly being shattered by the interference of various pressure groups from all sections of society.
If the recent examples of Karnataka State Legislative Assembly Elections 2018 and the Panchayati Raj Elections of West Bengal, then there were many cases of assault, which is not what democracy means.
Karnataka Legislative Assembly is lower house of Karnataka in Southern India. In a legislative assembly there are two houses like - Vidhan Sabha, Lok Sabha. Karnataka legislative ssembly has the same thing. Vidhan sabha Sabha's members are elected by adult franchise. There is a Governor of Karnataka who is Anglo Indian.
Panchayati Raj is also a system of West Bengal which we can see in rural areas of Bengal to moderate the people of rural areas. This panchayati member are connected with Government. Members are elected by the village's people.
