The tilted position of the earths axis is called inclination of the earths axis which means the plane of its orbit around the sun  for man angle of about 66.5 degrees or the ecliptic plane is perpendicular form an angle of about 23.5 degree. course of orbital period, inclination usually not change, and the direction of the axis is same relative to the background of the stars. due to which one pole is directly more towards the sun and the another pole on the other side, which is the reason of seasonal change on the earth.
