The Harappa excavations took place from 1986-1990. Some of the artifacts found were clay figurines, pottery vessels such as vases and water jugs, and stoneware bangles. The Harappans had writing, agriculture, domestic animals, metal weapons and tools, ceramics, and a central government which planned the cities and provided citizens with drains and running water. Since the Harappans lived during the Bronze Age, and most people of that period had few or none of these things, the Harappans can be considered advanced.
