        ↓ Block                ⇒ d block

                                 USES
                         ********  ********
Gold
--------
          Making
jewelleries are the primary usage of gold

          Gold is used in Dentistry

          Pledging  (
mortgage)

          Used in electronic devices

Copper
-----------

          Used in making alloys

          Good conductor of electricity
∴ it is used to conduct electricity in  wide range

it is an unreactive metal, ∴ it will only cause less corossion

          copper utensils can be made.

Copper tubing is used in plumbing, because of its high heat capacity.

         Used to make jewelleries

         Used in electrical transmission lines

Zinc
------

Zinc oxide uses in following cases
                     manufacture of
                                         ---->  paints
                                         -----> soaps
                                         ------> rubber

Zinc is used to make equipments

         used in batteries

Aluminium
-------------

        Making of house- hold utensils

       Making of cans, foils

Aluminium ain't that strong metal, though aluminium casted with other metals will give strong alloys..

Aluminium is important in the construction of transporting vehicles such as Ships, aeroplanes etc...

      Used in
electrical transmission lines

Iron
------

      Available in cheap cost
∴ it is widely used than any other metals

Used in construction of buildings , because it is the strongest metal.

iron with other metals give steel, while is mostly used in making utensils, construction works..

Stainless steel is very resistant to corrosion and is used widely for house hold purposes.

                                    NON-METALS
                                --------------------------

i'm considering non-metals such as

           NAME
                      ********    *********
1.Oxygen
2.Nitrogen
3.phosperous
4.Sulphur
5.iodine

                              SYMBOLS
                     ***********   ***********

1. Oxygen ------ ( O )
2. Nitrogen  ------ ( N )
3. Carbon-------------( P )

                              USES
                        ********  ********
Oxygen
---------
oxygen along with hydrogen is used as fuels

      Oxygen helps in combustin

Oxygen is widely used in manufacture of nitric acid , hydrogen peroxide etc..

Plays a major role in photosynthesis

Oxygen is fairly soluble in water, helps aquatic organisms for respiration.

Nitrogen
------------

      Used in manufacture of fertilizers

      Used in NPK fertilizers

Essential manure for the growth of plants ( Nitrogen fixation )

Liquid nitrogen is often used as a refrigerant

      Nitrogen with hydrogen gives ammonia

Carbon
----------

Carbon is unique among the elements in its ability to form strongly bonded chains..

Carbon along with oxygen in certain proposition gives CO₂..

CO₂ is compressed and soluble in water gives soda water..

Allotrops of carbon such as graphite are good conductor of electricity, used in pencils, used as lubricants etc..

Sulphur
-----------

It is used in the u vulcanisation of black rubber

sulphur with hydrogen and oxygen in certain proportion gives Sulphuric acid ( H₂SO₄ )

Helps in the production of some pesticides and herbicides....

Iodine
---------

Iodide salts are used in pharmaceuticals and disinfectants..

Iodine tablets are used for thyroid ( 0.1 milligrams of iodide , is needed per day for the working of thyroid gland )

BrainlyYoda: Very awesome answer.
Kimmus: Hey!! i'm sorry , but i had accidently made a mistake in it.. i wasn't mentioning about phosphorus, that was an error from my side.. In that place i meant carbon.. @LakJinsaiVarshari , hope u won't mind that :) Symbol of carbon is [ C ]
Kimmus: Thank you @Hemantg & @AwsumSingle
BrainlyYoda: Ok
Kimmus: :)
BrainlyYoda: No problem @Kimmus
TheRuhanikaDhawan: no problem
