Since it was a dictatorship no one could express their views or go against the government. The people had no liberty and could not protest against the govt.

During Pinochet's rule, military dictatorship was established and many political parties were suppressed. The rule of law was not followed. The power laid with one man - August Pinoche.All the political parties and any political activity was in some way not allowed. People who went against the military rule were harassed, tortured, imprisoned and even murdered.
