There are different types of disasters both natural and man made. some of these natural calamities include volcano eruptions,tsunamis and hurricanes. They can be mitigated by installing modern instruments that detect the build up of activities that lead to their occurrence and thus people can be notified and move away to avoid death and destruction of property. Disasters such as landslides can be avoided by planting grass where soil is loose along the valleys
