THE RED DATA BOOK----->>
The International union for resource conservation (IUNC) was started in 1948 and is the oldest and largest environmental oraganisation.The Red list or Red data book is a list made by the IUNC that gives the status of all threatened animals in the world.The species on the list are divided into different groups.

●Exticnt-No member of these species is found either in wild or zoos.

●Extinct in the wild-No member of thse species is found in the wild.They are found only in zoos or botanical gardens.

●Critically endangered-These species are close to bring extinct in the wild.

●Endangered-These species are found in very low numbers in the wild and are dying out fast.

●Vulnerable-These species are found in low numbers in the wild.

●Near threatened-These species are likelt to be classified as threatened soon.

●Least concern-The risk of these species becoming threatened is low.

The groups crictically endangered,endangered and vulnerable are grouped into threatened group.More then 250 species in India are threatened.
