I am from Kerala which is in the southern part of India and in our state in almost every food the main dish is rice

some of the examples are

for breakfast

appam

puttu

dosa

idli ( these are all made with rice) etc.

for lunch

almost 93 % of malayalees (people in Kerala are called malayalees) eat rice as the main dish with some curry and some eat biriyani or something like that

and for dinner it's different for each house
