The nucleus is easy to model you just need little balls to represent the neutrons and protons. The click it magnetic balls spray painted to represent protons and neutrons may work, otherwise buy little round balls and spray paint them.

You have a few options when you are modeling the electrons orbiting the nucleus you can either string beads on wires to represent the number of electrons (the planetary model). Or string the electrons in the Bohr model.

If you are going to be more accurate you need to put the electrons in the electron shells.
