There are basically four food groups with various nutrients. They are as follows:
*Grains – fiber, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins (opt for whole grains)
*Vegetables and Fruits – vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates (5 or more servings in a day)
*Fish, Meat and Beans – B vitamins, proteins and zinc and iron minerals
*Milk – Riboflavin, calcium, protein and Vitamins A and D
