Answer :
We follow these steps to draw a parallel line to the opposite side of triangle .
Step 1 : Take any three colinear points A , B and C and form a triangle ABC .
First we take vertex " A " to draw a line that is parallel to " BC "
Step 2 : Extend line BA to D we get line BD .
Step 3 : Now we take any radius ( Less than half of AB ) and take center " B " draw an arc that intersect our lines BC and AB at " E " and " F " respectively .
Step 4 : Take same radius and take center " A " draw another arc that intersect our line BD at " G " .
Step 5 : Now we take radius of length of " EF " and take center " G " draw an arc that intersect our previous arc at " H "
Step 6 : Now we draw a straight line XY that passing through A and H , So XY | | BC .
