1. Equation:

  Perimeter of square = 4L

  or, 24 cm = 4 ( x cm )

  or, 24 cm = 4x cm

2. Value of x:

   or, 24 cm = 4x cm

   or, $\frac{24 cm}{4 cm}$ = x

   or, 6 cm = x  

3. Actual length = x cm

                           = 6 cm  

     

4. Verification:

   Perimeter of square = 4L

                                       = 4 × 6 cm

                                       = 24 cm
