Formula:

Perimeter of square =4*side

Solution :

Perimeter of square =60

4*side=60

4*3*x=60

12x=60

x=60/12

x=5cm

The actual length of square is 3*5=15cm

Question:- In the figure

To find:-

  • equation of perimeter of a square.
  • value of x.
  • actual length.
  • check the answer

Answer:-

Solution:

1. Equation:

  The perimeter of square = 4L

  or, 60 cm = 4 ( 3xcm )

  or, 60 cm = 4 × 3x cm

  or, 60 cm = 12x cm

2. Value of x:

   or, \frac{60 cm}{12} = x

   or, 5 cm = x

3. Actual length = x cm

                           = 5 cm

4. Verification:

   The perimeter of square = 4L

                                       = 4 × (3x cm)

                                       = 4 × (3 × 5 cm)

                                       = 4 × (15 cm)

                                       = 4 × 15 cm

                                       = 60 cm

Hence, it is verified.
