           Direct to Indirect Speech (Conversion)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Direct Speech is a sentence that has the exact speech of someone, or quoted.

Indirect Speech is a sentence which expresses any speech or part of any speech without quoting the exact speech, as in direct speech.

While converting direct speech into indirect speech, you have to follow the below-listed steps -

a. firstly, exclude the commas and quotation marks from the direct speech

b.  secondly, insert "that" in the place, if in normal speech; or, words such as "whether" or  "did", if it is an interrogative sentence, or it is a question.

c. change the words addressed to the second person such as 'you' to 'him' or 'her', if singular, and 'they', if plural.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Your question:

# Make indirect speech of this sentence:

Sham whispered and said, "Does this Demon really want to cut our legs?"

= Sham whispered and said that did that demon
really want to cut our legs.

or,

Sham whispered and asked me whether did the demon really want to cut our legs.
