                                   Direct to Indirect Speech (Conversion)

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Direct Speech is a sentence that has the exact speech of someone, or quoted.
Indirect Speech is a sentence which expresses any speech or part of a speech without quoting the exact speech, as in direct speech.

While converting direct speech into indirect speech, you have to follow the below-listed steps -

a. firstly, exclude the commas and quotation marks from the direct speech

b.  secondly, insert "that" in the place, if in normal speech; or, words such as "whether" or  "did", if it is an interrogative sentence, or it is a question.

c. change the words addressed to the second person such as 'you' to 'him' or 'her', if singular, and 'they', if plural.

d. (optional) if it is a question, you can change 'said to' to 'asked'. If you change it like this, then you have to put 'that', instead of 'whether'.

Your question:

# Make indirect speech of this sentence:

The Tickets Checker said to the boys, "Are you sure you got the tickets or did you lost them?".

The Ticket Checker said to the boys whether they are sure that they got their tickets or did they lost them.

or,
