Make it a simple sentence :-

I read the book. I returned it to the library.

A1111: It is a complex sentence.

A1111: I want simple.

trishasadangi06: okay.

A1111: This is a question from by exam paper.

A1111: Having read the book, I returned it to the library.

A1111: This is what I think.

A1111: I just want to know if it is correct or not.

I returned the book to the library after I read it.

Here the action to be conveyed is - return of the book to library

The action - reading the book happened earlier to return of the book.

A1111: See !, you've joined it with 'after', so it's a complex sentence.
