ALLUVIAL SOIL are found in northern plains, Gujarat planes, and coastal plains

BLACK SOIL are found in deccan trap region in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh

RED SOIL are found in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Chattisgarh and Jharkhand

LATERITE SOIL are found in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya pradesh, Orissa and Assam

FOREST SOIL are found in Hilly regions like Himalayas
