Solution:-

What is the result when product of 12 and 7 is divided by 21 and -7 is added to it?

 \tt 12 × 7 ÷ 21 + (- 7)

One - forth of the sum of 48 and 20 is multiplied by the one - third of the difference of 32 and 5.

 =  \tt \dfrac{1}{3}  +  \dfrac{48}{20}  \times  \dfrac{1}{3}  -  \dfrac{32}{5}

More Information:-

Algebra is a generalized form of arithmetic. In arithmetic, we use numbers like 4, -5, 7, 9.5, etc. each with definite value, whereas in algebra, we use letters like a, b, c, d, e.... etc. along with numbers. (5x, 7y... etc.)

The letters used in algebra are called variables or literal numbers or simply literals. They do not have a fixed value.

  • = (is equal to)
  • < (less than)
  • > (greater than)
  • ≮ (is not less than)
  • ≯ (is not greater than)
  • ∴ (therefore)
  • ∵ (since)
  • ≠ (is not equal to)

Algebraic form = x + y = 3

Statement = x plus y equals to 3
