We have to draw 60° with the compass.

To do it perform the following:

  • Take more than half of a line with the compass
  • Draw an arc
  • Now using the same distance with the compass draw another arc on the other side of the line segment
  • Join the beginning of line to the meeting point of the arc.

Now draw 120° using the same techniques.Use 60° angle as the line and draw another 60° over the line.

After 120° and 60° has been constructed bisect the angles:

  • Take the measurement of the arc connecting 60° and 120°
  • Draw 2 arcs one from 60° and one from 120°
  • Draw a straight line from the starting point of the line to the meeting of the arcs.

There you get 90°

90°*2=120+60°

=180°

90°=180/2

so we need to bisect 120° and 60° because between it is 90°

Hope it helps.

Thanks for reading my long boring answer.
