Many years ago in the south of India there live a small boy called Ravi.He was eight years old and he lived with his mother and father and two baby sisters in a tiny village.In the village there were their houses and some sheds;nothing else.Ravi's father owned a small piece of land and on the land he grew maize and sometimes vegetables. There was not much rain and ther was no river near the village and Ravi's father was not able to grow any paddy.But they had about twenty or thirty goats,and every moring Ravi took the goats out on the hillside to graze.Ravi and his family were very happy,but they were very poor and they often did get enough money to eat.​
