I said that,'I was feeling hungry.

sanjh: When the indirect speech is in present tense then the reporting verb should definitely be in the present tense . So it should be says or am saying.
Rohit123456: not important that it have to be says or am saying! i guess the direct speech will be - I said, "I am feeling hungry"... and answer will be- he said that he was feeling very hungry...
