Coronavirus or Covid-19 nowadays has become the world's most dangerous virus anyone can catch easily especially the most vulnerable ages are under the age of 10 and above the age of 65, but this not really mean that youngsters cannot catch it. So, my neighbour, Sandy was a 21-year-old charming boy with bright eyes and with passion for doing something. He lived all alone in the flat just next to mine. We both were really good friends and often studied together, went on walks and we both enjoyed each others company and whenever I got sad about anything or missed my parents he always said, "Are you okay?" and then he used to take me to the ice-cream parlour to eat waffles. But in this pandemic, I had to leave him due to a sudden lockdown in the country and go back to my parent's house, he also wanted to go to his parent's house but he couldn't because of some problems. I was quite sad for him, in fact, I called my parents to cancel my tickets but they said to me to come as corona was not a joke as now it has become. As the number of patients is increasing the fear in the people is decreasing but this just happens until there is no covid-positive case in their own family. So, I reached my parent's house, I was weary but still called Sandy. The bell was ringing. It rang once and.....no reply came. It rang the second time and the phone hung. I thought that he might be sleeping or busy with his chores so I texted him and went to sleep in the hope that he will call me back whenever he sees the message. One day went off. Two days went off. A week passed, he didn't pick my phone. Finally one day with all my courage I called Mr. Hudge, his landlord, who was a really strict person and asked him what the matter is. He told me that he has not seen him since last few days. Now, my worry was on the peak and I started overthinking and then itself his call came. A lot of questions and emotions filled my heart but I spoke, "Are you okay?" this was the first time I said this to him. His voice was full of pain and he said "No, I am not." he always used to be cheerful and happy there was nothing in this world which could make him feel about, his words stabbed my heart badly and I said nothing, stood shocked. He knew that I am listening and he said "I suspect to have contracted Corona Virus, a few days back I was taken to the hospital by one of my friends the doctors suggested me to get isolated in my house. I have not told this to anyone but you, I just want to see you one last time. Please." and the call hung. I did not even know that tears had already started escaping my eyes, I rushed to the drawing room where my parents where sitting watching the news channels which don't spread awareness but fear in people. I told my parents the whole matter and pleaded them to let me go. But according to the nature of parents they did every possible thing they could do to stop me, but at that point of time I was unstopabble. I booked the tickets on my own and reached there by the next day. I straight away went to his house, the door was open. There were many footwears on the threshold of the house, was quite shocked but still went in. I saw something which made me collapse on the floor. His parents and relatives were sitting beside Sandy who lying on the floor, dead. His lips were blue and neck, red. When I finally regained my conscience I asked everyone around that what happened to him. His mother in a shocked tone said that "he messaged me "Please don't forget me" and commited a suicide at night." I was not at all in my senses at that point of time and was really shocked by his this act but the reality was lying in front of me. Suddenly the bell rang and I went to open the door, his reports came in.... they were negative. And all I could think of was it was not the coronavirus because of which he failed to live but the depression and anxiety spread through news channels and social media platforms which forced him to die.
