- When a mosquito bites the infected person, the sporozoites enters the salivary gland of mosquito.
- When this mosquito bites a healthy human, the person gets affected and the cycle repeats.

- Nausea
Prevention of malaria:
- Elimination of vectors and their breeding places
- Avoiding stagnation of water
- Use of mosquito nets and repellants
- Proper hygiene and sanitation
- Introducing fishes like Gambusia that feed on mosquito larvae
