It is moves in female reproductive tract to join the female ferm cell or ovum.

It is smaller in size in comparison with ovum.

Female germ cell or ovum constitutes of nutrients for the zygote.

It is immovable and larger in size than sperms.

Male and female germ are different from each other by following ways

(i) Female germ cells have XX chromosome whereas male germ cell consists of XY chromosomes. Moreover, Female germ cells differentiate under a two phase time but in males differentiation occurs in seminiferous tubules of the testes throughout the normal life cycle.
