male gamete in flowering plants are the pollen grains. it is given in the textbook that in microsporogenesis ,the microspore then dissociates to form pollen grains which will be the male gamete if my first sentence is correct. but in the 2nd chapter, pre-fertilisation topic test , 3rd question it says ''male gametes in angiosperm are formed by the division of...'' and the answer for that given in solutions is ''genrative cell'' isnt the answer answer microspore correct? if i am wrong please correct me and please explain how it is generative cell.... thank you.

Firstly i want to say that both of them are same . Pollen grain has intine which is divided into two part first vegetative cell and genrative cell . Vegetative cell are reserve foid material and genrative cell posses male gamet ....
