mallika has 4/5 m long ribbon .she cut off halfof it to tie on her hair .what length of the robbon did she cut?

Total length of ribbon= 4/5m

Length of ribbon cut= 1/2*4/5

=2/5

=0.4m

Hence length of the ribbon cut is 0.4m

We can find half of 4/5 here and then subtract that half from 4/5...so that we will get our answer....I will explain this to u in a simple way....U can ask me any doubts in math...

so....if we want half...we can just multiply it into 1/2 which means half..

4/5*1/2=4 and 2 can be cancelled.....=2/5

next we can find the other half......

4/5-2/5=2/5

Thus Mallika took 2/5 of ribbon to tie on  her hair.....
