Answer:

Malpighian body is the collective name for excretory and osmoregulatory systems in insects.

Explanation:

Malpighian tubule system or malpighian body is the system of excretion and osmoregulation found in insects or phylum Arthropoda. The body consists of branching tubules extending from the alimentary canal. Any excretory organ that lies in the abdominal body cavity and empties into the area between the hindgut and midgut belongs to the malpighian tubule system. In species having numerous malpighian tubules, they are short, and in species having lesser tubules are long and coiled. For Example, in cockroaches, malpighian tubule is present at the junction of midgut and hindgut as a yellow colored thin filamentous ring of  100 to 150 tubules. As the fluid flows through the tubule, adsorption of water, solute, wastes from the surrounding heamolymph will take place.
